There was a list last year of old words that had fallen out of use, and I’ve attempted to use ‘twitterlight’, although I’ve been a bit inconsistent.

Of course, given that I’m setting my novel in a tidally locked world, I’m coming with words like ‘yestersleep’, which are interesting.

Risen (n.): One who had been previously dead, re-animated through illegal magic.

Troll (n.): One who practices magic without a license.
